French Manicures.. Really??

So we have all been to weddings and remarked how beautiful the hair and makeup was on the bride and her bridal party, but we rarely speak of the nail work! I think it’s due to the fact that there appears to be an unspoken rule when it comes to nails…a FRENCH MANICURE! When did this become the rule of thumb? Why do we believe that we have to do this? Nails are the perfect way to express yourself and have fun! You know the saying “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue!” Why not incorporate blue, gold, glitter, lilac or even sage green on your nails!

Give consideration to complimenting your bridesmaids dresses with a design on your nail in their dress color or cover your entire nail with their dress color! All I’m saying is that nails do not have to follow the uniform code of the french manicure. Now I’m not throwing shade to this classic style, I just think that there are other options and alternatives out there that should not be ignored.
