When your fiance is a photographer you know your engagement photos are going to be bomb!
Photography has played a big role in Faith and Ayo’s relationship. They met on the set of a photoshoot, and when Ayo was ready to propose, he made Faith believe he was taking photos of her for a fashion collection to surprise her. Faith recalls, “I was all glammed up. I walk into the location to be serenaded by a saxophonist; there were flowers everywhere, friends and family smiling, then there was AYO- he had this smile on his face. I couldn’t stop crying.”
For their stylish engagement session, they decided to keep things classy, fashionable, and sensual. Keep scrolling to see their amazing engagement photos.

How did you meet?
Ayo and I attended the same university, Babcock University, we were never really close though we had mutual friends. We said our Hi’s whenever we met.
In 2014, I was at a photo shoot, he was the photographer. One of the models was upset with him because he complained about the set, so I joined in to support and we all kept malice throughout the shoot. Lol
What did you do on your first date?
We went to watch the Black Panther movie. Hitting the cinemas became our thing since that day.
Tell us your proposal story
He proposed on August 28th, 2020. It was mind blowing.
He called my dad and asked his permission to marry me. He also invited my brother and close friends to the proposal. He made me believe he was taking photos of me for a fashion collection, so I was all glammed up. I walk into the location to be serenaded by a Saxophonist, there were flowers everywhere. Friends and family smiling, then there was AYO, He had this smile on his face, my. goodness, I couldn’t stop crying, I cried when he asked me to marry him, I cried when I said Yes, I cried after I said yes. lol I needed more than a minute to take it all in.
When did you know he/she was “the one”?
Ayo and I had gone on a couple of dates but I was still getting to know him and wasn’t sure I was ready to jump into a relationship. After three months of seeing each other, there was a day we spent a night out. I looked at the time, it was 3 am. I had to be at work by 8 am but I didn’t want to leave. I couldn’t spend a minute without him by my side. That was when I knew this man had won my heart.
Describe your engagement session. Did you have a theme?
We wanted a vintage yet Stylish and Edgy look. We found the perfect location which is an old secretariat built back in Colonial days.
How has wedding planning been so far?
It’s been good. Hectic however we plan on keeping it really simple. We have seen a few vendors we are interested in. Hair, Makeup, Photography , DJ. Those are our priority
However, we are still yet to decide on a few vendors. We are looking to make it intimate , just 50 guests. We want to enjoy the day, as they say “Less is More.”
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.
To be honest, locking eyes on him all through. I don’t want to miss a moment of his smile, the look on his face when we share our vows. Ayo is very expressive, I want to cherish every moment.
Nigerian weddings are usually very loud and distracting, with lots of things going on in the background, you can miss a lot if you get distracted. We decided to focus on US. Enjoy when we share our vows, our photo session, our first dance. Even when the MC or DJ takes over, we want to watch our friends and family laugh and dance- you know the things that really matter not worrying about things not going as planned.
