Tristian and Harold’s luxurious destination wedding in Cabo featured top-notch entertainment, glamorous custom fashion, and stunning views!
Tristian and Harold first met at one of Harold’s iconic house party-themed parties in Atlanta.
Harold had planned to propose during a couples’ trip to The Virgin Islands on New Year’s Eve. Due to limited business hours because of the pandemic, Harold’s original idea of a romantic late-night dinner and grand florals wasn’t possible.
Instead, after an early New Year’s Eve dinner, Harold, Tristian, and their friends returned to their Villa for an in-room party, where Harold got down on one knee and proposed, starting the new year with a beautiful new beginning.
Tristian and Harold kicked off their incredible destination wedding weekend with a rooftop party for all 145 of their beloved guests. The cocktail hour and reception were also held on the rooftop, allowing guests to take in the stunning views of Cabo. During dinner, contemporary ballet dancers and fire dancers entertained guests.
The wedding venue was absolutely breathtaking! With the historic Cabo Arch behind them while exchanging their vows…. The wedding reception was so epic that all of their friends and family have coined it the best wedding they’ve ever attended!

How did you meet?
We met at a house party-themed party that Harold throws in Atlanta called Whiskey Mistress.
Tell us about the proposal.
Harold decided to propose on New Year’s Eve 2021 in St. John in the Virgin Islands. He tricked Tristian into thinking that it was a couples’ trip and that they were going to celebrate the wedding anniversary of two of their closest friends. All of his grandiose plans failed due to Covid and unbeknownst to him everything was closing early and florists and romantic late-night dinner reservations were unavailable. They had an early NYE dinner instead and went back to their villa for an in-room party. There, Harold got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife, wanting to start the new year with a new beginning.
Wedding Style:
Dramatic Glam – Statement pieces. The bride’s ceremony dress had the longest train you may have ever seen.. and the groom’s custom tuxedo by his dear friend, Carl Ulysses, who has created clothing and even tailored clothing for the Black Panther movie and Will Smith! His style is incredible!
What was the wedding shopping experience like for you?
The items were custom-made, and the bride’s items mainly came from Europe. There were several delays in production and everything was down to the wire so it later all became stressful.
Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding?
We did the African-American tradition of jumping the broom and had a unity sand mixing ceremony, as well as the tying of the knot.
