Tell us how you met and all about the proposal
We met online and spoke every day for about two weeks until we finally met in person.
The Proposal
He brought me to Niagara falls one afternoon to take a walk. We had stopped right across from the American falls and started having a conversation for a bit. Right as I turned around to start walking again he said, ” but before we go”, which at this point I turned around and he had a ring box in his hand. He then started to tell me how much I meant to him and proceeded to ask me to marry him, to which I then said yes!
Describe your engagement session
We had an engagement shoot scheduled at two locations. The first location was at a conservation. This was where our casual shots were taken. Our photographer did an amazing job making us comfortable and making the shoot fun and natural. It was almost like we were on a date by ourselves with everything being captured on camera. The second location was in a studio where we had two outfits, a traditional outfit, and a formal outfit. With the lighting and backdrops, our photographer did an amazing job capturing the best shots of us. He made the environment fun and natural with us dancing and capturing shots of us when we didn’t even know he was shooting. To end the shoot he brought us outside to a local park where we took more pictures in our traditional outfits during sunset which ended up being some of our favorite shots.
What did you do on your first date?
We went to see the black panther movie and had dinner after.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to go for walks together
How has wedding planning been so far?
The wedding planning has been an interesting one so far, with things changing week by week during the pandemic. Due to the current state of our country we had to move the reception celebration to the following year. So it has caused us to think out of the box and find ways to have everyone we love support us during our ceremony while keeping everyone safe.
What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
BRIDE: The thing I am looking forward to the most, is being able to be in my wedding dress and having my father give me to this wonderful man to be his wife. The fact that I am transitioning from one protector to another is more than I could ask for.
GROOM: I’m looking forward to enjoying an experience that some people rarely have the opportunity to enjoy.
