This Megan Fox & MGK-inspired shoot is everything grunge and rock n’ roll with edgy bridal attire and fiery romance.
When it comes to love, Megan Fox and MGK are all about being over the top. From their steamy PDA seshes to daring fashion choices and even Megan’s thorn engagement ring, the couple has become a symbol of sex, love, and the inevitable pain that comes with loving someone so intensely. Their whirlwind romance and engagement on January 14, 2022, inspired this edgy-styled shoot at the Riverside Arts Space in New Hampshire.
Conceptualized and designed by Dana Kramer of Haus of Gravity and captured by Rachel Veltri Photography, their grungy editorial boasts rich purple and black tones, trendy fashion pieces that are edgy but believably bridal, and vintage decor along with nods to Fox and MGK in subtle ways, including their elopement announcement cards stating: “and then we drank each other’s blood.”

The stationery suite…
“Rich purple and black tones were the focal point of the photoshoot, so Stephanie Tara Stationery weaved these colors into a striking stationery design. An elopement announcement card, complete with “and then we drank each other’s blood”, a nod to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, lined the bottom of the thick cardstock. Black, deckled edge vow books with hand-written calligraphy were tied off with velvet ribbon. Vintage stamps, anthurium decked out with rhinestones and loose blooms completed the look.”
The fashion…
Rachel (Rachel Veltri Photography) and Dana (Haus of Gravity) wanted to pay homage to the rock n’ roll energy of the shoot while still bringing in a real bridal feel.
“We opted for a trendy mini dress – the dramatic puff sleeves, glitter fabric and mini train paired well with white Chucks (complete with initial charms, N for Natalie, J for Josh.) Tulle anklets, a pouf bow veil and silver jewelry were the finishing touches to model Natalie’s Megan Fox inspired look. Meanwhile, Josh sported a satin purple vest, silky black shirt and skinny black pants. Together, our take on a Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly vision came to life.”

The details…
“CDs, vinyls and old cassettes were a heavy component of this photoshoot. Spools of cassettes were pulled from within their casings and wrapped around Natalie and Josh for artistic portraits. CDs were scattered across the floor, cassettes adorned the purple watercolor cake and vinyls accented the sweetheart table. Small “blood” vials (made with food coloring), chains, feathers and money were our other details of choice – the rockstar, grungy elements that made this editorial extra special.”

Sweetheart table…
“The team moved outside to set up a sweetheart table and we found a spot against a random fence. We knew it would photograph perfectly. Rachel’s black trunk took center stage. Rich purple velvet fabric was used as the tablescape base. Glitter chargers, black dinner plates and holographic silverware looked striking next to cassette filled floral “vases.” Polaroids taken earlier in the day looked chic next to bright purple satin napkins. Natalie and Josh enjoyed Chinese takeout – but we turned it up a notch. We filled extra containers with florals and wrapped chains around chopsticks for that rockstar wow factor.”
