Featured in MunaLuchi Bride Issue No. 26, Kreasha & Michael’s minimalist Boho wedding was effortlessly stunning with neutral decor, natural florals, and modern details.
While Kreasha and Michael both attended Texas State University for 5 years, they didn’t have their first interaction with one another until it was almost graduation time. Two weeks before Kreasha was set to graduate, they crossed paths on a party bus. Mike boldly shot his shot, but Kreasha wasn’t having it. Then, ironically one week later, they had their first real conversation on campus and soon after their first date at the movies.
Kreasha shares, “I knew Michael was the one for me from our first date. Everything felt so easy and effortless. He felt like a best friend I’d never known about but who knew me for a lifetime.” Micheal shared the same feelings, admitting, “When we went back to my spot and stayed up talking until 3 o’clock in the morning about life, school, and our dreams and visions, that’s when I knew she was the one.”
The lovely couple said “I do” on September 25, 2021, at the Prospect House in Texas. Their boho-themed wedding with modern twists, including lots of candles, low-dimmed lights, and delicious food, was a beautiful testament to their forever love.

The bride…
The groom…
How they met…
We both attended Texas State University however, we did not interact with one another for the entire 5 years although we were there at the same time. About two weeks before Kreasha’s graduation we were on a party bus together and Mike tried to shoot his shot then but I was not hearing it at the time.
Ironically enough, our first real conversation happened on the campus of UT about a week later. Shortly thereafter we were on our first date watching the TeRRible movie ‘Pain and Gain’, not even an hour into the movie we both looked at each other and said “this movie is trash” and we decided to leave and go back to Mike’s place. We stayed up and talked until about 3 o’clock in the morning and have been inseparable ever since.
Their first touch…
The proposal…
Christmas is a big holiday for my family and since we started dating Mike always joined me back in my hometown for the special holiday. This year Mike told me he would be unable to make it due to work.
In reality, Mike was planning to surprise Kreasha for their Proposal. With the help of family and the blessing of her Papa, he arrived in her hometown in a 10ft box wrapped with a bow on Christmas Day waiting in her cousin’s back yard to surprise her. When Kreasha pulled the bow, the box collapsed and Mike was inside on one knee asking for her hand in marriage.
The ceremony…
How they knew they found “the one”…
Kreasha: I knew Michael was the one for me from our first date. Everything felt so easy and effortless. He felt like a best friend I’d never known about but who knew me for a lifetime. He was and is so respectful and such a gentleman that is what ultimately got me. It was so indescribable our first few years of dating. I feel so blessed to say almost 9 years later that I still feel the exact same way. I do not know what life without Michael in my life would look like nor do I ever plan on finding out.
Michael: Our first date we had a connection at the movie theater where we spoke to one another without using words. It’s hard to explain. When we went back to my spot and stayed up talking until 3 o’clock in the morning about life, school, and our dreams and visions, that’s when I knew she was the one.
Cultural elements…
Jumping the broom.
Wedding style…
Minimalistic, natural, and neutral. I wanted a boho theme but with a modern twist, including lots of candles, low dimmed lights, and great food. We accomplished them all.
The sweet details…
Wedding dress…
My wedding dress was a long sleeve Pronovias dress customized to fit my long arms and full bust. The body hugged my curves well and flared out at the bottom. It was absolutely perfect.
Best wedding day memory…
Michael: Seeing my wife walk down the aisle, she did not want to wear a veil and did not plan on it. But she surprised me and wore one because I really wanted it and that was an amazing surprise.
Kreasha: My husband and 3 of his best friends/groomsmen performed the Best Man Holiday New Edition dance: Can you stand the rain. It was perfect and the unforgettable highlight of the wedding.
Advice for other engaged couples…
Kreasha: Take your time, plan early, save money, and do not go into major debt for your wedding. Do what feels right for you and make sure you take small moments throughout the night to actually savor the moments because it flies by so quickly.
Michael: Always keep God first throughout life, but keep him even closer during the wedding journey as there will be moments where you may need to call on him.
