Traversing the thin line between a professional and romantic courtship can be very risky, but for Denise and Craig it lead to true love. The first time they met at a professional networking event, they just made small talk. However, three years later, fate would bring them together again, as they met at another networking party. This time their chemistry was instant. Denise decided to go out to lunch with Craig to trade stories about their professions. Lunches turned into dinners, and dinners that turned into dates. Denise was memorized by Craig, she reminisces, “He was so distinguished, intriguing, handsome and intelligent. It is always refreshing to listen to someone who is passionate about what they do. And to this day, he still tells me his likes and I never get tired of hearing about them!”
The couple’s love for each other truly shinned bright during their summer nuptials. As Denise walked down the aisle, her nerves were put at ease when guests gasped in admiration and she looked into her husband’s eyes. She knew she was walking into a room of positive energy, and that energy definitely overflowed into the reception. Guests ate and danced like no one was watching in a reception space designed to perfection by Nouveau Events. All of their stunning ivory, fuchsia and purple decor and special moments were captured by Ethan Yang Photography!

Denise wore an ivory, Oscar De La Renta silk radzimir, sweetheart gown that was intricately enhanced with a bow trumpet skirt. The look on her husband’s face and tears in his eyes, let her know she made the perfect choice. The bride’s favorite bridal accessory was a pair of diamond encrusted earrings that her husband gave her, prior to the wedding. He had not seen the dress, but they were a perfect complement.
Incorporation of Culture
We incorporated the African American wedding tradition of “Jumping the Broom.” This tradition served as a symbol sweeping away the old and welcoming a new beginning.
Most Memorable Moment
Denise, like most other brides planned what the bouquets would look like, how the bridesmaids dressings would match the colors, the theme and all the intricacies that go with creating the ambiance. What she could not have planned was the energy in the room. Watching her future husband, bridesmaids, family and friends smile, cry and give gestures of support was invaluable. Secondly, the reception and after party really placed the cherry on top. Denise and Craig, both felt truly blessed to have all of their favorite people in the same room, dancing and having a wonderful time! Denise said she had so much fun, that she would want to do it all over again…with the same handsome guy!
