Exuding elegance and modern sophistication, Carmel and Kyle’s contemporary wedding at the Château Saint Georges in Grasse, France was straight out of a fairytale!
Carmel and Kyle’s first meeting could have been from a modern romance novel. They met in the heart of Temecula’s wine country. Carmel was at a vineyard, mostly for the scenery, but was quickly captivated by a passionate local winemaker, Kyle.
Kyle was leading a tasting, his enthusiasm for wine was infectious. We struck up a conversation, and quickly, it wasn’t just about wine anymore….We had similar dreams, a love for the outdoors, and a desire for a simple yet fulfilling life.

Under the impression she was attending a friend’s birthday celebration at her and Kyle’s favorite vineyard, Carmel had no suspicions of Kyle’s plan to propose. As the sun began to set, Kyle suggested they should take a walk. They found themselves in a secluded spot, overlooking the rows of vines, admiring the orange and pink sky. It was there that Kyle got down on one knee and asked Carmel to marry him.
With a sincerity that mirrored the simplicity of our love, he asked me to be his partner for life. No grand gestures or orchestrated flash mobs; it was perfect in its simplicity, reflecting everything we cherished about our life together in Temecula.

How did you meet?
In the heart of Temecula’s wine country, I met Kyle, changing my life in ways I never expected. I was there, lost among the vines, more for the scenery than the wine. Kyle, a local winemaker, was leading a tasting, his enthusiasm for wine was infectious. We struck up a conversation, and quickly, it wasn’t just about wine anymore.
We found we shared more than a love for Temecula’s landscapes; we had similar dreams, a love for the outdoors, and a desire for a simple yet fulfilling life. From that day in the vineyard, our connection grew, rooted in shared passions and a love that felt as natural as the vineyards surrounding us.
Tell us about the proposal.
Our engagement story is quintessentially Temecula, woven into the fabric of its vineyards and sunsets. Kyle planned it all without a hint of suspicion on my part. We were at our favorite vineyard, under the guise of celebrating a friend’s birthday. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, Kyle suggested a walk. We found ourselves at a secluded spot overlooking the vines, the air filled with the gentle hum of the evening.
It was there, amid the fading daylight and the rows of grapes that would soon become wine, that he got down on one knee. With a sincerity that mirrored the simplicity of our love, he asked me to be his partner for life. No grand gestures or orchestrated flash mobs; it was perfect in its simplicity, reflecting everything we cherished about our life together in Temecula.
Describe your wedding style.
For my wedding, I chose a Grace Loves Lace dress, embodying the vineyard’s effortless elegance. The experience of finding this dress was magical, perfectly aligning with our Temecula setting. Kyle wore a simple, tailored suit, complementing the relaxed yet sophisticated vibe of our day. Our attire truly mirrored the essence of our wedding: intimate, natural, and deeply personal.

What is the best memory from your wedding day?
My best memory from our wedding is walking down the aisle at Château Saint Georges in Grasse, with the stunning views of the sea stretching beyond the horizon. The moment was simple yet profoundly moving. As I walked arm in arm with my dad towards Kyle, the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea and the serene ambiance of the château’s grounds enveloped us. This setting, where elegance meets nature, made our ceremony unforgettable. It wasn’t just the sight of Kyle waiting for me that made it special, but also the panoramic sea views from the château that added an unparalleled sense of awe to our wedding day.
This was more than a wedding; it was a vision brought to life, where classic met contemporary, and every moment felt like a page from a fairytale…
