What do you get when you add three wedding dresses together with a 10-foot tall cake?
The chicest non-traditional wedding and we’re here for it! Anthony and Ebony met through mutual friends and it was effortless. After Ebony was apprehensive about a planned trip with her best friend she unknowingly spent time with Anthony’s friends who just so happened to be on the same trip. Once they met they were inseparable. The ceremony and dinner both oozed luxury with their roses, pampas grass, and personalized black décor.
Guests were also treated to a gorgeous, bespoke seating sign for them upon their arrival at the pre-ceremony festivities. With guests serenaded by artist Case and the couple surrounded by their family and friends, Ebony and Anthony’s chic non-traditional wedding was the stylish event that perfectly captured their love for one another.

Tell Us How You Met And All About The Proposal.
We met through mutual friends on a pre-planned trip to Maryland that I went on with my best friend that I wasn’t going to attend. I didn’t know anyone and I was afraid that work would miss me. While there, I was surprised to see so many black successful men in one place, but they all were married. I ran into him a few months after and it just so happened his really good friends were the group that I hung out with in Maryland. We haven’t separated since.
How Did You Know They Were “The One”?
Entrepreneurship is male dominated and not easy at all. It’s hard for me to trust people. I was always on the defense because I wasn’t just an entrepreneur but a single mom and I had to protect my family and my livelihood. I’m usually a good judge of character but when I met Tony it was almost effortless. We talked for hours on end. It was literally a fairytale.
Did You Incorporate Any Culture Into Your Wedding?
If you want to consider personal style as culture, then yes. Before Tony and after Swank I never would take time out to take care of me. So this wedding was so important because I had my chance to take time out for myself and my husband. Every detail and design mattered in ways where some may have thought it was small.
Describe Your Wedding Style
Chic! Super classy but nothing like anything you’ve ever seen. My wedding was at night. Very romantic. Definitely breath taking.
Describe Your Wedding Dress And Your Favorite Wedding Accessory.
I had three wedding dresses and two were custom. The first was mocha and floor length and full of tulle fitted around the waist. My third dress didn’t become my third dress until two weeks before the wedding.
I was working in LA, and I spotted it in the window, and I had to have it. I [actually] jumped out of a moving car! The store was closed and somehow I had convinced them to come open by calling a phone number on the door that read appointment only. The dress was made for me, it was truly fit for my fairytale wedding.
What Is Your Best Memory From Your Wedding?
Walking down the aisle. Well at first I couldn’t get down the aisle because of my emotions. I’ve experienced so many accomplishments and failures in my life and nothing ever felt like the love I have with Tony. I knew at that moment my life would change forever. However, once I got to him I felt safe.
What Is The Best Wedding Advice You Can Give To Engaged Couples?
Do what you want and nothing else, it’s your day. This day is about you and your significant other. Make this about the two of you. The more people you include the less time you have for time with one another.
The only people that stood with us at the altar were our daughters. We stayed true to the fact that we were a new family and that’s all that matters. Also, our wedding was completely non traditional. We started with cocktail hour, dinner while Case sung, ceremony and we ended with desert and drinks.
I changed three times, my daughters and my husband had two changes.
I never thought this life existed. I literally lived to the fullest during this time. I was flying everywhere. Malibu for our engagement shoot. Fittings in Atlanta. My aisle was like a runway to a fashion show and so was the seating. After we were married, they played matrimony by Wale and everyone sang and cheered us on and sang with us.
The cake
My wedding cake was 10 ft tall, I thought I went way over budget but I was where I needed to be and I couldn’t be more happier.
