Unveiling bold fashion and unique decor, this modern glam-styled shoot was created for daring, fashion-forward couples in search of a striking look for their wedding day!
Striving to create an enchanting editorial that blended contemporary chic design with bold fashion and subtle vintage charm, the talented vendor team meticulously curated each detail to set a captivating scene and inspire future brides and grooms to be.
Inspired by the iconic 1989 Barbie wedding dress, the creative team chose two short, fashion-forward dresses with bold, puffed sleeves and sculptural silhouettes; a beautiful marriage of vintage and modern wedding design. Each dress was paired with elegant, statement earrings by designer, Catherine Deane. The groom’s unique dusty lavender suit was paired with a pink tie, seamlessly embracing the eclectic pink monochromatic color scheme while also making a visual impact.
The monochromatic pink palette was weaved into the smallest details, pulling everything together for a contemporary, glamorous, and eclectic style. Opting to forgo florals, pink tropical foliage, reminiscent of swaying palms, was used to give the space a fresh look.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the vendor team showcased delightful cakesicles by Henriette Desserts. Creating a sense of whimsy and fun, these cakesicles are perfect for couples looking for unique alternatives to the classic wedding cake.
This editorial feature is a visual symphony, tailor-made for couples in search of modern, fashion-forward inspiration for their wedding day. A Modern Take on Wedding Cake…
When it came to the cake, our preference leaned towards delightful cakesicles. Naturally, the color palette veered towards a lovely shade of pink, and we indulged in the delectable flavor of chocolate. Each cakesicle was crafted uniquely, providing guests with the delightful opportunity to select their preferred variation. To complement this sweet ensemble, we included an assortment of meringues, offering a subtle nod to the intricate details of the bride’s dress.
The Attire:
Our selection of attire drew inspiration from Barbie’s iconic 1989 wedding dress. We aimed for a sculptural design that would command attention, particularly focusing on the upper part of the dress. In the case of the suit, our goal was to embrace freshness and uniqueness, opting for a color seldom seen to elevate the overall visual impact.
The bride takes center stage, adorned in a sculptural ruffle wedding gown by the renowned Jenny Yoo… A seamless transition into the second outfit unveils a bride confidently rocking an adventurous Watters wedding gown.

The groom, not to be outdone, exudes charisma in a Lilac suit harmoniously paired with a bold pink, creating a distinct and eye-catching ensemble that captures the essence of modern elegance.
