Many people propose in settings that are meaningful to their partner. For Everette and Tenisha this setting was a cat sanctuary! Yes. Tenisha absolutely loves big cats, specifically lions. She had been dating her college sweetheart Everette for seven years, and was becoming anxious about when Everette was going to pop the question! Little did she know, their excursion to see lions, tigers and bears would end with her getting a sparkling engagement ring.
Everette set his proposal up perfectly. As they were leaving the cat sanctuary, Everette asked Tina if she wanted to sponsor a lion. She excitedly agreed, and they adopted Luke, a juvenile male lion. Everette and Tenisha even got an opportunity to walk up to Luke’s cage and pet him. The employees then asked the excited couple if they wanted to take a picture with the lion. As Tenisha prepared to pose, Everette pulled out a red box. She immediately knew what was about to go down and started screaming, which ended up scaring Luke, who angrily growled at Everette! However, the employees of the cat sanctuary were in on the it the whole time, and they captured the proposal on video.
This adventurous couple had a ultra glam wedding at the Tampa Museum of Modern Art. The clean architectural lines and simple white walls of the museum perfectly complimented their color palette of ivory mixed with gold and silver accents. White roses and hydrangea topped tables covered in gold and silver sequined linens. Instead of a traditional wedding and groom’s cake, the couple opted for yummy cupcakes and a groom’s cake made out of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The night was full of memories, but the highlight for Tenisha was the look on her husband’s face when she surprised him with a performance to a Beyonce song! It took seven years for the Browns to have the wedding of their dreams, but it was well worth the wait.
