This wedding at Koury Farms is perfect for the edgy boho bride with white flowers, greenery, and elevated gold details.
Alyssa and Jacobs’s wedding was everything they envisioned. With the bride’s style being dark, moody, and boho, she asked her wedding planner Ashlie Muller Celebrations to pull out all the stops, and Ashlie delivered!
Ashlie explained, “I designed this wedding to match [Alyssa’s] style, with an elevated and modern touch of boho, with accents of gold.”
At their reception, the moody vibes continued with their statement sweetheart table and decor featuring asymmetrical flower arrangements and candles. Alyssa’s request for green details is seen throughout their wedding in her bridesmaids’ dresses, cocktail tables, and their exquisite cake created by Acuna’s Custom Cakes.
Photographer Elizabeth Godwin captured all of the sweet details.

- Couple: Jacob & Alyssa Kurin
- Occupations: Both work in communications
- Wedding date: February 18, 2023
- Wedding location: Koury Farms (Auburn, Georgia)
Quick Facts:
- Bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts: All the groomsmen had to travel out of state for the wedding so we decided to pay for their suits as a gift to help alleviate costs with travel expenses. The bridesmaids received a box of goodies that included a wine glass, hair clips, scrunchies, a jewelry tray, champagne, and a necklace.
- Gifts for one another: Jacob gifted me two embroidered pearl studded jean jackets – a black and blue one because I love options. I gifted him custom cufflinks
- Ceremony entrance song: “Still Into You” (cover) by Isabella Kensington
- First dance song: “Grow As We Go” by Ben Platt
How did you meet?
We met through mutual work friends and became friends, we eventually started dating after realizing we had similar interests and enjoyed each other’s company.
Tell us about the proposal:
We went on vacation to Lake Michigan with Jacob’s whole family. The place we stayed at was on a bluff overlooking the water and was perfect for watching the sunset. Jacob asked if I wanted to go watch the sunset with him on the dock.
While taking pictures, Jacob disappeared behind me and was waiting for me to turn around while he was on one knee. I of course was in shock, but so excited. It was such a beautiful intimate moment between us and tears were shed.
Little did I know his sister-in-law was hiding and taking pictures the whole time.
Describe your wedding attire.
My dress was a long-sleeved ball gown with floral lace and a sweetheart neckline. It was the perfect mix of modern and classic. For Jacob, we went with a more classic look with a black tuxedo, a black shirt, and a tie.
What is your best memory from your wedding?
Walking down the aisle and seeing all your closest friends and family there to support your marriage to your life partner. Nothing else mattered at that moment.

What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples?
Savor every moment of your engagement and trust the people you chose to create this magical day for you. Everyone knows wedding planning can be stressful, but it’s not healthy for any relationship to spend all of your free time stressing and planning.
