Everyone knows the vows: “….for better and for worse, in sickness and in health… till death do us part” but not many take those vows so literally. If they do, they certainly don’t expect things to play out quite that way. It did for former NFL player, Christopher Draft. The 35 year old fomer NFL star lost the love of his life and his wife of only one month, Keasha Draft (nee Rutledge) to cancer two days ago. In a time where most stories are full of people refusing to stick it out, it is impossible not to be moved by this love story of a man whose love was truly unconditional and a woman whose obvious spirit brought so much joy to her man’s life.
Watch this moving video of their wedding below as an obviously sick but nonetheless joyful and glowing Keasha gets married to Christopher, a man obviously smitten by his wife.

We wish Christopher and Keasha’s families the very best through this difficult time and pray that God grants them solace. Christopher, your loving gesture and your love story with Keasha will inspire so many for years and years to come. God bless you!

Being in maybe not an extreme situation but somewhat situation, this shook my core cause everyday I pray for a break through for my other half although life has gotten back to normal but at the back of my head the “what ifs” remain. What I know when you find true love not even sickness can scare you away, you let God be in control and no matter the ending you know it was all his will.
From a place of knowing a little what Chris is going through I send him love and green light to the family too and may he know he is a rare man. God is in control.

I can’t stop from crying uncontrollably…my heart really goes out to Christopher Draft and to both of their families. I will truly keep you all in prayer. So sad but so beautiful. I could see how happy and in love they both were dispite the situation. Keasha looked so happy. It’s a blessing they both were able to be a part of each others life, if even for a short time. God Bless
