Bride & Groom-to-be: Georgia & Yida
Proposal Location: Oía, Greece
When Date: October 3, 2018
How did you meet?
Georgia and I met as juniors in the University of North Carolina. It was during our first economics class together that I mustered up the courage to start a conversation with her. Later, Georgia and I began frequently hanging out outside of class. We would often find ourselves at the library reading literature together or coming up with crazy ideas for our next date. Four years have passed. Georgia had experienced both the hard and easy times with me, because of Georgia’s support and affection throughout the years, I eventually became a successful manager at Tesla.
Tell us your proposal story:
I decided to ask for Georgia’s hand in marriage in one of the most romantic and beautiful places of the world, Santorini. Due to our passion for reading literature, I wanted to propose in a place surrounded by a wealth of knowledge that shared different stories and lessons. Therefore, I decided to host the proposal in the Atlantis Book Store patio facing the ocean while playing a personalized song on the piano. The bookstore would symbolize all the knowledge we shared throughout our late nights at the library and the piano would remind Georgia of all the fun nights we spent together singing under the moonlight. For the proposal, I arranged a scavenger hunt in the bookstore with her favorite books, which eventually led to the rooftop piano where I played a self-composed song. Georgia knew at that moment, that she had finally met the man she would be spending the rest of her life with!
MunaBling!
The ring is simple and elegant. Not too much bling but also can catch people’s attention because of the style of the ring. It took a while and a lot of asking friend’s and family for a ring perfect for the future bride.
