Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met during a best friend’s birthday dinner. For the proposal…he surprised me with tickets to Adele’s concert. After the concert, we went back to mom’s house and I was clueless- I was just thinking okay normal Saturday night- go out, get something to eat and go to my mom’s house. He pretended he had to take a call and told me to go ahead inside. Once I entered, I was greeted by sounds of Eric Benet and Tamia and my best friend blindfolding me and walking me to a chair. To my surprise all of my friends and family was inside waiting for me and there Javon was on bended knee!
Describe your wedding attire. We went for modern southern glam. I had a classic but deep sweetheart neckline and he had a silver and white tux jacket.
What was the wedding shopping experience like for you? I was so indecisive! Yup, I was that bride that ended up with three dresses! I was overwhelmed and not really sure what type of style to go for since I’m petite, but I found my dream gown at Anya Bridal.
Wedding party gifts: I gifted my bridesmaids with earrings, custom socks, bath bombs and monogrammed boyfriend shirts. Groomsmen were given flasks and mini bottles of liquor.
Gifts for each other: Cologne for him, and I received a Pandora charm, diamond necklace and a custom picture.
Ceremony entrance song: “My Best Friend” by Hollywood Anderson
First dance song: “If This World Were Mine” by Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn

I LOVE the different color dresses! It’s a great way for the bride to bond with her maids if you pick them out individually.
