Rasheedah and Damian were introduced by a mutual friend. They went out for dinner shortly after that and the rest was history. Their wedding is full of bright smiles and cute details with a vintage and chic theme. Along with having her mother as her Matron of Honor and her daughter as her Mini Bride, Rasheedah’s most memorable moment was Brian Courtney Wilson singing “I Believe” for their first dance.
Rasheedah and Damian’s beautiful wedding was photographed by Christin Shoots People. We’re sharing these stunning photos with our friends over at BellaNaija weddings + more images in the gallery here.
Bride: Rasheedah Ogunsuyi Groom: Damian Ogunsuyi Occupations: Business Owners Wedding Date: December 1, 2012 Location: Las Velas, Houston, TxThe Wedding Planning
“My wedding was amazing! My theme was vintage, shabby, and chic. Planning the wedding was challenging because I only had 4 months of planning time and we had over 10 vendors. I had an awesome planner and concierge service that helped organize our big day. The best part of planning was spending lots of time with my mother. She was very instrumental in making our day extra special.”
Culture Details
“We had American traditions and Nigerian traditions. For the Nigerian traditions we wore traditional Benin attire, we had 3 separate outfits for the wedding and reception. Our DJ played Nigerian and American music. For dinner, we had Nigerian and American food. We were sprayed with money all night as we danced.”
You Make Loving You So Easy
He loves… “She has a passion for life and fiercely loyal. Family is a great priority for her and she has a great love for nurturing life through raising children the RIGHT WAY. That is a rare combination. And the crown of it is she has a very high level of intellectual response to life which is a special asset. And she loves me as I am.”
She loves… “I love the fact that he is a great PROVIDER for our family and other people. A provider of love, spirituality, protection, happiness and peace….I could go on and on, he takes care of us in so many ways. My husband gives us his all and never complains about it. He is a selfless person and I am grateful.”
