“OWN” is not just a network when concerning Maya Holihan and her 10-year-tenure as a force in the bridal industry. With two salon’s already under her belt, Holihan’s competitor and longtime friend, Helen Kessler, has sold both her “Pure English Couture Bridal” and “Silk Bridal Consignment” companies to Holihan earlier this March – making her the lead bridal salon owner in her state.
In her 11th year as a business owner, Holihan has re-branded her company to “House of Maya Bridal Salons;” comprising of four bridal boutiques in Norfolk, Suffolk and Virginia Beach.
With a background in bridal design comprising of Vera Wang and Gianna Versace, Holihan has always had a passion for the industry and an insight in expanding her reach, her business and her brand. Holihan worked in New York and Boston before buying out Norfolk, Virginia’s 35-year-old Tiffany’s Bridal Salon and making it her own. Tiffany’s eventually became the first Maya Couture, an award-winning company recognized as one of the Top 50 Bridal Salons Nationwide by BRIDE’S Magazine. Holihan then went on to purchase a Suffolk location, known today as Maya Couture on Main. And now through her professional relationships, business sense, and persistence has added Pure English and Silk Bridal to the House of Maya collection.
Holihan now has four companies to add to her 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, and we congratulate her on her current and continued success.
“Congratulations Maya on 10+ years of success and wish you more years of brilliance!”
