If you’re planning a spring wedding, today’s inspiration shoot is perfect for you. The theme is “refined rustic” and incorporates the softest pastel hues against rustic textures and vintage furniture. It’s ultra feminine and ridiculously pretty with a hint of glam. The shoot was produced by Judah Avenue Photography and we love these pastel wedding ideas to pieces. Btw, their new site is kind of bananas! Go check it out…after scrolling through this post and pinning each and every photo:). Enjoy!
From Judah Avenue
The team’s concept, of “refined rustic” was represented with the combination of a neutral and pastel color palette, raw textures, and vintage pieces with a decidedly feminine twist. MUA Priscilla Ottley of Paint me Pretty created a fresh and ethereal hair and makeup look for the beautiful bride model. Happy Girls Events designed a charming wreath backdrop with a lovely tablescape of rustic textures, vintage finds, creamy floral elements, and candlelight to set the stage.
The bride exudes grace in a simple strapless, sweetheart-neckline, ivory, ball gown that enhances her pure beauty. Her luminous makeup is fresh and dewy, and her hair is sculpted with crystal accessories from Brittany at Happily Ever Borrowed.
Roses abound in the bridal bouquet, softly studded with raw cotton and accented with fresh ivy. The bouquet sparkles at the base with a crystal laurel-pattern brooch also from Happily Ever Borrowed. Judah Avenue Photography, captured the flawless bride in the last rays of natural light. The portrait backdrop is a simple, yet creative, heart shaped wreath formed from eucalyptus and ivy, sprigs of baby’s breath, lush roses and pops of untouched raw cotton.
Desserts made for a decadence are displayed in a spread on the lace covered table scape featuring carefully curated vintage pieces. Creamy ivory and gold place settings, rose glass dishes, and dessert stands filled with confections are surrounded by loose arrangements of roses and baby’s breath. The burlap table runner started it’s life as a 50- pound-coffee-bag in Brazil, and is now up-cycled as the textural focal point in this lovely vignette. The stunning three tier wedding cake burnished in a copperish gold, ivory and blushes of pink was crafted by Diwura from MonDelice. It sits in a chair and features hundreds of handmade, sugar flowers, too perfectly darling to be true! Hanging baby’s breath gently frames and adds the final romantic note to this dreamy bridal scene.
To recreate this style, start at home by gathering some sparkly vintage finds. Next, draw color pallet inspiration from a soft, muted pastels. Be sure to incorporate a few soft touches such as lace, votives and lush blooms to make things extra romantic.
