When Natasha went in to give Eric a kiss on the cheek at a party, Eric went for more just as the flash went off. Both were mesmerized by each other the first time they each saw one another. So with a party planned by Natasha and her friends and mutual friends making sure Eric attended, the beginning of their love story was born. Their fall engagement session gives us a fun glimpse of how high Natasha and Eric’s love lifts them up and the pets that float by their sides on cloud nine. The two are set to exchange vows this November at The Anna Ville Chapel in The Colony. What a beautiful wedding it will be!
Tell us about how you met and all about the proposal!
We met at KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts. I was a musical theater major and Eric was in filmmaking. I will never forget the first time I saw Eric, the way he walked down the hall and carried himself, I just knew something was different. When Eric talks about the first time he saw me, all he says is “hair.” He says that he would look up and see someone dancing down the hall in a leotard and big curly hair! He had to find out who I was. We had mutual friends and they would often bring him to parties that my friend and I were having. We were at a party and I asked him to take a picture with me, I went to give him a kiss on the cheek and he turned and we kissed right on the lips when the flash went off. We would flirt here and there and then he asked me to go to our friend’s birthday/Halloween party a few months later. After that night we were never apart again.
On May 9, 2015, I woke up to Eric giving me a kiss and telling me goodbye as he was leaving for work. He had sent me a text telling me to look under my pillow. He had left me money to go get my nails done. He came home later that night and we got all dressed up to go out to dinner. I had no idea where we were going. We ended up at the Triniti Tower in downtown Dallas. We were seated at a nice little table next to the window with the most amazing view over downtown. It had been raining in Dallas for what felt like months but it had stopped raining and the sun just so happened to come out. Everyone pulled out their phones and started taking pictures of the sunset. I told Eric we should take a picture with the sunset in the background and he asked the waiter to take a picture of us. Eric came over to my side of the table. I just so happened to look the opposite way and then turned back around and thought “What the hell is he doing on the ground?” Next thing I know, he pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him. I bawled my eyes out! He had planned for a horse and carriage to be waiting outside of the restaurant when we got done eating and that’s where he would propose, but with the rain, they called and canceled. He was so upset! But I still think everything was perfect!
The engagement session…
Our engagement session was so much fun! It was every thing I have always wanted and our pictures came out so good! When we sat down and met with Brianna, I told her I wanted something different. I didn’t want to be in the woods, or next to a lake. I wanted a city feel! We laughed so much during the session, we were able to be ourselves and goof off. I would say our theme would be city love.
What did you do on your first date?
Our first date was at Burger King. :)
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to just be in each other’s company with our two fur babies.
How has wedding planning been so far?
The wedding planning so far *knock on wood* has been really good! It’s so much fun planning every little detail out! The only downfall is the long engagement because I often find something new and want to add or change things!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.
I am looking forward to the moment when the doors open and I get to see Eric’s reaction while I walk down the aisle.
