How they met…
Brianna and Aaron’s love story began while working together at an indoor trampoline park called cloud nine.
While Aaron had already been working there for several years, it was Brianna’s first day on the job and she was attending a staff meeting.
As soon as Aaron walked into the room, they locked eyes and the rest is history!
Their proposal story…
Church is a major part of Brianna and Aaron’s lives. As a couple, it’s actually one of their favorite things to do together and it has helped them grow in love and in faith. Aaron planned to incorporate their shared passion for church, faith, and family into his proposal.
As part of their after Sunday church traditions, they began going out with their church family for big Sunday dinners. One Sunday after eating, Aaron asked if Brianna wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory to get cheesecake for dessert.
Brianna recalls: “I didn’t think anything of it because this is something we do often, however, this time after getting our cheesecake he asked if I wanted to go take a picture with the Christmas displays in town center. While standing inside one of the Christmas displays he showed me the picture he took of me.”
When she looked at the photo, to her surprise in the background stood her family (some driving all the way fromDC!), his family, and their church family all standing behind [her] holding a banner saying “will you marry me?”.” She said yes in a heartbeat!
Looking back, it was (and still is) such a special moment to Brianna “not only because everyone [she] loves was all in one place, but also because [she] got the super cute picture of [her] standing there not knowing what the heck was going on behind [her]… ” and all of her “favorite people in the background waiting for the big reveal.”
When they knew they found the one…
Brianna knew Aaron was the one right after their first date.
As mentioned, their first date was taking a nice stroll on the beach; however, neither one of them had checked the forecast. When it began to downpour that night, Aaron didn’t hesitate to take Brianna back to his house to give her his sister’s clothes and a blanket to keep her warm.
Brianna says: “The gesture itself was so small but it was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me.”
For Aaron, he experienced the same undeniable feeling that Brianna was the one on their first date. After being caught in the rain, laughing, and making new memories together, he knew she was everything he wanted and needed.
The engagement session…
The couple loved their engagement session!
Since they plan to do a modern boho theme for their wedding, they wanted that to translate into their engagement photos.
Brianna notes they “went with very neutral tones with a pop of color using burnt orange” to keep things simple. Overall, they wanted their “pictures to be filled with laughter and for [their] love to radiate.” Their amazing photographer Geneva helped make their vision come to life!
Favorite thing to do as a couple…
Brianna and Aaron’s favorite thing to do together is simply eating and being lazy.
Brianna says: “We both live super busy lives, with me being in grad school while working full time and him working full time as well as being beyond committed to our church. So we love to spend our free time just being lazy and enjoying each other’s presence (with food of course).”
Wedding planning so far…
Brianna admits “wedding planning has been somewhat hectic so far.”
With their busy schedules, they struggle finding time to plan. However, Brianna notes it’s incredibly helpful having a talented wedding planner guiding you along the way.
“We’ve been blessed to have an amazing wedding planner, Crystal Washington, who has helped tremendously with selecting vendors, budgeting, and staying organized.”
What they’re looking forward to most on their wedding day…
For their wedding day, Brianna and Aaron are most looking forward to having everyone they love together in one place.
Brianna adds: “With COVID it’s been hard getting everyone together, so our wedding will be the first time a lot of our family and friends have seen each other. We can’t wait to share our love with everyone.”
