Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Mich and I met on campus at the University of Florida during my senior year of college and his junior year. We became friends and remained friends for about 3 years. He then told me that he was interested in being more than just a friend and soon after we started dating. Fast-forward to 2015, Mich paid for a hot air balloon ride in Atlanta, GA (where I currently reside). About 20 minutes after we were up in the air, we decided to take a picture. When I leaned in to pose he dropped down on one knee to propose! Shortly after, he blind-folded me and took me to a surprise party that he orchestrated for me. My friends and family from all across the country were there to celebrate with us. It was one of the best days I’ve ever had.
Describe your engagement session. Our vision for the engagement session was to reenact when and where we first met by going to the University of Florida campus. We incorporated our school colors (orange and blue) as well as our wedding colors (gold, white, and black) for our attire.
What did you do on your first date? Our first date was at an Argentinian restaurant in Miami called Perricones. We talked and learned about how much we had in common.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to try new and adventurous activities together such as hang-gliding, para-sailing, sand-duning, etc.
How has wedding planning been so far? I didn’t realize how fast time really flies until I started planning this wedding! We had a 2 year engagement and we are already 4 months away from our wedding date. Where did the time go?! It has been a roller coaster for me. A mix of great moments where everything is going according to plan combined with extremely stressful moments.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Dancing with my Hubby, family, and friends.
