Marie and Daniel’s love story is one that spans through time and distance. Meeting first in high school, and then again in college, it’s clear that Marie and Daniel’s paths were supposed to cross – and cross they did. After running to each other repeatedly on their campus because Daniel lived literally across the street from Marie, it was time to strike up a friendship and a romance. That romance made way to an intercontinental commitment when Daniel, visiting his love in Tokyo, went down on his knee and asked Marie to be his “path companion” for the rest of their natural lives.
The culmination of their amazing journey together took place on their November wedding day. Every detail and emotion was aptly captured by Alex Fagundo of Soul Echo Studios.
Bride: Marie Poulard Groom: Daniel Medina Occupations: Bride – Kindergarten Teacher; Groom – Account Manager, MarketingThe Details ….. “We both have island roots (Daniel’s family is from Cuba and mine is from the Philippines and Haiti) and love the beach, so it was only natural that we have a beach wedding. We settled on the Florida Keys as the destination since many of our family and friends live in or close to Florida. Aside from a handful of visits to the Keys, we did all of the planning in New York. Thanks to the help of our wedding planner, Jessica Ayers, and Tina Kinamel at Pierre’s Restaurant in Islamorada, the planning process went extremely smoothly.
Our ceremony was simple yet memorable and took place on the beach behind Pierre’s Restaurant. A cocktail hour followed. As our theme for our reception, we chose to name each table after a place we have visited.”
Incorporating Culture ….. “We chose to incorporate an orchid wedding lasso that is a traditional element of Filipino weddings. The wedding lasso represents the lifetime unity and everlasting union of us as husband and wife.”
{You Make Loving You So Easy}
