Real {Houston} Wedding: Kelton + Shavara

Whoso findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the LORD. Proverbs 18:22  That’s what Kelton Lyons, a 32 year old Freight Broker from Little Rock, Arkansas mentioned to us when we asked him how he feels about his new wife Shavara.  The couple met in early August of 2005 when Shavara took a job at the same place where Kelton was employed.   With just  a simple, but firm, handshake, Kelton had a feeling.  He felt there was something special about this girl, something different, something divine.  According to Kelton, “It was clear as goose tracks in the mud,” that Shavara was the one for him.   And she was.  They married on January 15, 2012 in Houston, TX with close family and friends.  We adore the spirituality between this couple.  They seem to truly be made for one another, and the love in the air is so obvious.  Take a look at some highlights from the wedding, photographed by Still Life Media,  then enjoy the entire gallery at the end of the post.

From the bride:  “There will never be enough words in the English dictionary to describe how much I admire this man. Just writing this very letter puts a huge smile on my face. I think Kelton is absolutely AMAZING, and everything a woman could wish for. He is God fearing, PATIENT, loving, giving, educated, handsome, and unique in his own right. I enjoy all the time we spend together and all the things we share; we truly know the value of working together. Kelton has taught me how we can have a true appreciation for one another as individuals; allowing us to respect our differences tremendously vs. focusing in on trying to change one another. We now view life through a faith driven lens, and with that we know anything is possible, and that God is who he says he is. For this reason it should be us, and what better man to give myself over to then the true love of my life. “

From the groom:  “I  am truly blessed!  She is the epitome of a phenomenal woman.  She has the class and elegance for which every man on earth yearns and wishes.  Let me first give you a true list of characteristics to describe my bride:  Shavara is kind, smart, fashionable, intelligent, driven, spiritual, loving, caring, and most importantly she is a nurturer at heart. Shavara has the gift of casting a natural glow whenever she enters a room, and others just feel the life of the party; to put it mildly.  The encouragement and leadership she gives others motivates me to become a partner in her visions throughout our lives.  I can truly say that God has sent me the final piece of my puzzle to complete my life.  Shavara is my everything.  I begin my day thinking about her, and I end my night thanking God for sending me such a special woman.  She is the true love of my life.”
