Recipe for Love: Culinary Experience with Muna Coterie CT + MA

What are the ingredients that create the perfect recipe for love? If you ask some of the members of our Connecticut and Massachusetts Coterie, they’d say “friendship” and “kisses” just to name a few. This concept of creating the perfect love was the genius behind the Culinary Experience in Connecticut. After a glam makeover, champagne and appetizers by Chef Rafael Medina gave the couples a preview of the savory meal they’d have for dinner. A live serenade by Jazz saxophonist, David Davis, created a romantic setting for the guests.

The two couples–Jerome & Valena and Danica & Dueren–were being treated to a dining experience by members of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Coterie. Hosted in the Yolanda Christine Photography Studios, the space was a blank canvas for Erika Flowers of Upscale Events, Lauren O’Brien of Lauren O Events, and Erica Jones of Orchids N Blooms Event Design to collaborate on a truly regal and modern design. The dining table set for four was draped in a luxe burgundy linen provided by BBJ Linen and flanked by gold chiavari chairs.

“A stunning floral chandelier hung gracefully above the tablescape creating a wonderful ambiance of romance. And as the couples dined they talked about their “Recipe for Love,”” Erika Flowers shares. To start the meal, Chef Rafael demonstrated the proper technique and preparation of their first course, cucumber wrapped salmon salad. What followed were mouth-watering braised short ribs with risotto & asparagus. And a decadent gluten-free white chocolate crème brule with chocolate mousse & a chocolate truffle by Pastry Chef Melanie of The Brownie Factory sweetened their palettes.
