I’m often asked how I got into the wedding industry, and frankly I never tire of telling the story. I’m a hopeless romantic and simply love love. I started planning weddings when a friend needed help planning hers. I’m a hopeless romantic and weddings are the most romantic parties to plan, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I was hooked! I began to master my craft, obtain certification, and the rest is, as they say, history. To me, planning weddings are like falling in love every weekend.
Red is often the color that’s associated with love and passion, so it’s easy for me to associate the color red with weddings. Since I’ve been planning weddings, I’ve seen red as a popular color choice to display the love between two people. People have even chosen to get married on or around Valentines Day, the day of love, so they can have more than one reason to incorporate the color red and show how much in love they are.
Red is such a bold color and can be paired with the like of black, white, silver, gray, and sometimes teal. Today, I’ve paired it with the coolness of gray. It’s a color palette that can work in all of the seasons. It can work in the spring and summer because of the lightness of the color gray. For the winter, gray can be substituted for silver and be used as an option for a great wintery type color palette. Whether you’re getting married this winter, or next spring, I hope you find inspiration in this passionate color palette.
