Ashley didn’t know she found love when she met Reggie at an Atlanta cigar bar the summer of 2009. However, her friends were intent on playing cupid, and intentionally brought Ashley to the bar to meet Reggie. They connected instantly, and four years later, Reggie proposed to Ashley in the middle of a downtown Atlanta Park. Ashley recalls, “On our way to walk across the street to the park, he stopped me on the sidewalk in front of a limo parked on the street. One of his friends, who owns a limousine company, exited the limo holding a portable speaker, and I heard our song,” Primetime’ by Janelle Monae ft. Miguel playing. Before I completely knew what was happening, two more of his friends appeared taking photos and recording video. He proceeded to express his love for me and appreciation for my consistent and unwavering support over the years and then got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. Of course I said yes! The limo then took us to a very romantic dinner at a local steakhouse.”
Their winter nuptials were intimate and full of fun moments including Ashley performing Beyonce’s hit song, “Love on Top” as a special tribute to her husband. Taun Henderson Photography captured all of the special moments in this heart warming Atlanta wedding.

My wedding dress was a stunning tulle trumpet gown featuring a basket woven bodice and a ruffled skirt for dramatic flair. My favorite wedding accessory was my cathedral veil because it added even more dramatic flair to my look.
Incorporation of Culture
We incorporated the unity sand ceremony and a community vow of support into our wedding ceremony. The community vow of support was very important to us as we wanted our guests the importance of their presence not only on our wedding day but in our lives. The community vow of support asked each guest to commit to be supportive and uplifting of our relationship and marriage.
Most Memorable Moment
Ashley: My best memory from the wedding was hearing Reggie recite the vows he wrote. They were thoughtful, heart-warming and had me smiling from ear to ear.
Reggie: My best memory from the wedding was having Ashley lip sync Beyonce’s “Love on Top” to me.
Help a Bride Out
Our best wedding advice for engaged couples is not to let the wedding planning take over your lives and conversations. Make sure to still have date night where discussion of the wedding is off limits. You put a lot of time, money and work into one day but you want to make sure you also put time and work into the foundation of your marriage. After the wedding day, the rest of your lives as husband and wife begins!
