Tell us how you met. We met at our church, Christian Cultural Center, and we were friends for years before we started dating. I’ve known Kenny and his family for years – I worked with his mom when she volunteered in Data entry. My future sister-in-law and I went to the same high school and now years later we’re going to be family.
Tell us about the proposal. Kenny proposed on our one year anniversary (12/30/18) during Sunday service at Christian Cultural Center in front of everyone, and that service was streaming online. I was completely caught off guard! We had just looked at engagement rings the day before so I wasn’t expecting a proposal at all.
Describe your engagement session. The idea to photoshoot on Coney Island boardwalk was actually our photographer’s idea because Kenny is from Coney Island. Once our photographer mentioned that I thought of a restaurant called Kitchen 21 were we could go take pictures in front of while on the boardwalk.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to just be around each other. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing as long as we’re together. We love to make each other laugh and watch movies.
How has wedding planning been so far?It has been fun and stressful. There are so many little things that go into planning a wedding that you don’t even realize until you’re in it.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. We’re most looking forward to finally becoming husband and wife. I’m looking forward to celebrating our love and union with all of our family and friends.
