When Andrew and Victoria met at Vision Nightclub a few years ago they were able to see the sparks between them. After dancing and talking the entire night they exchanged numbers, but soon found out they were three hours away from each other. This didn’t deter them, but helped build a solid foundation for their budding relationship; they were dating long distance for a while when fate intervened – his job opened up a store in her town and asked him to lead it. Since they got engaged the couple has been hard at work planning a beautiful ceremony for their family and friends, for the engagement session they wanted something fun and relaxed that captured their personalities. Their photographer AJ Shorter created a romantic outdoor shoot that captured their chemistry, which was hotter than the Miami Heat. We hope the couple had an amazing time at their wedding last week!
Wedding Date: 07/26/2014
Wedding Location: Paseo Village Center, Ft Myers, Florida
Photographer: AJ Shorter
The proposal: After years of dating I felt it was time, and proposed to her in front of her family during a holiday celebration.
The first date: Our first date was a family Halloween party. To back track, we met at a club when Victoria was visiting her family in Miami. After that night we talked over the phone for months without seeing each other again. The next time Victoria visited Miami was Halloween that year. Her family was throwing a costume party. We had an awesome time, as I was able to meet her entire family on the first date.
Favorite thing to do as a couple? We both work really hard, so our favorite thing to do is lay on the couch in our snugglies and watch Atlanta House Wives or some form of trashy reality tv show.
The engagement session: It was great. AJ was a true professional. On time and not very pushy at all. He let us be ourselves. We didn’t have a major theme, we just want to do an outdoor session and an out on the town scene. We were totally happy with the results. We felt that AJ captured our true personalities.
Wedding planning…
Stressful of course, but the entire process has brought us closer together. We’ve learned to compromise and work as a team to get big tasks done. Nothing seems to be going perfect, but we’ve become very understanding and just grateful to be able to afford to have a nice wedding. We both come from humble families, so we know our parents and friends will be happy regardless of how the event turns out.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most of the wedding day: Dancing the night away officially as husband and wife…
