What better way to bring in a New Year than with a renewed commitment to the one you love. Cameron decided to bring the New Year in right when he asked Courtney to marry him on December 31,2013. Courtney recalls, “He drove me to Sibyl Temple, which is a Birmingham’s replica of the Temple of Sibyl in Tivoli, Italy. We pulled up to the Temple and there was a live band singing our song “Love on Top” by Beyoncé. As I heard them when I approached the stairs, I knew this was the moment.”
The couple decided to return to the place where Cameron proposed for a gorgeous outdoor e-session. The beautiful natural scenery and rustic surrounding of Sibyl Temple helped create the perfect romantic atmosphere for these two love birds. Sam Jasper Photography captured the essence of their love in every photo.
We have to send special congratulations to Cameron and Courtney because they are getting married today. We know their wedding will be amazingly beautiful!

Cameron and I met at a funeral. Fortunately enough, neither of us knew the deceased. He was hired as the musician and at that time I was working part time at a funeral home. We caught eyes and briefly spoke after the service. A few weeks later, I was as the hired photographer for an event and he was the hired musician. We were both given the wrong arrival time, which was about an hour and a half early. I arrival and he was walking from the venue’s door, he spoke and asked what I was doing there. I explained and he replied that we were given the wrong time. So I told him it was okay and I would be back because I needed gas in my car. He hopped in the car and said I’ll go with you. Strangely enough, I was fine with this partial stranger being in my car. The next Sunday, I attended the church where he was the musician. He asked me out to dinner and we’ve been inseparable every since.
The Engagement
Cameron asked me to marry him on December 31, New Years Eve. We were spending the day together because we are usually at church on New Year’s Eve. He told me we had dinner reservations but as we were gathering to leave for dinner an emergency has come up. He drove me to Sibyl Temple, which is a Birmingham’s replica of the Temple of Sibyl in Tivoli, Italy. We pulled up to the Temple and there was a live band singing our song “Love on Top” by Beyoncé. As I heard them when I approached the stairs, I knew this was the moment. I watched the band and turned around and Cameron was on one knee and of course I said “Yes!”
Their First Date
On our first date, Cameron and I went to Chili’s after church. It was my choice, I really wanted a Moten Chocalate cake that day. We chatted for hours and even after we left he called to continue our conversation. It was great and his personality and kindness exceeded my expectations.
