We can never get enough of engagement sessions on MB, especially when they have unique themes. The one we’re featuring today was too cute to pass up. Yodit, owner of Favored by Yodit, came up with this super fun idea. She themed her engagement session after that ever-so-popular Beyonce and Jay poster for their On the Run tour…and she nailed it! From the looks of it, Yodit and Andy are a pretty fun couple so we are dying to see what their August 2015 wedding will be like. “Andy & I have been together since 2008 and have been destined to be together from day one. It seemed like a lot of our families and friends knew each other before we did and when we met everything just seemed to click. We are complete opposites, I’m a social butterfly and Andy is more of an observer and private until he gets to know you. We love chocolate chip cookies, watching Law & Order SVU and spending time hanging out with family. If you don’t find us at home you can see us doing any fun things around the city since I’m an event planner.”
The Proposal
“The evening of Monday, May 19th he slipped the ring on my finger while I was sleeping and when I woke up the next morning around 6:30am and rolled over to wake him up I noticed something sparkly on my hand. At first, I thought it was a dream but then I started screaming when I saw the ring on my hand was real and he turned and he popped the question.
It was probably one of the most romantic surprises he has ever done. So back story on the ring is every year he surprised me in some way with something from Tiffany’s ever since we started dating with necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc but never a ring. So he told me that he wanted to make sure the proposal was just as special as all those surprises and it definitely was because I noticed my new Tiffany Embrace ring and that I was going to spend my life with him forever.”
Inspiration for the E-session
“After the proposal, I sent all my girlfriends a text ” I woke up like this!” with a photo of the ring on my hand!! Since they all know how much I love Beyonce, I thought it would be fun to surprise them and do a photo shoot and replicate the “On The Run” tour poster for our wedding save the date. I came up with the idea after one of my best friend’s told me that when she heard “Part II (On the Run)” by JayZ featuring Beyonce it reminded her of Andy & I’. Once I saw the ski mask image and listened to the lyrics I completely understood what she meant and the concept for the shoot was born. Who wants a perfect love story anyway?”
