We featured this beauty of a wedding earlier this year in our 2nd digital edition. Aside from Cassie’s stunning wedding style and the gorgeous decor, what we loved about this wedding was the stylish display of sweets. There was a full on sweets-fest with mini cakes, the cutest cupcakes, caramel corn and lots of other goodies courtesy of Oh, Sugar Events. Enjoy these lovely images by Kurt Boomer Photo and you can also see more from this wedding in the gallery.

How they met…
Mikey and I met at church when we were very young. We instantly became good friends . We finally realized we loved each other began dating. On Christmas Day Mikey proposed in one of my favorite mountain locations and arranged a surprise party for me back home with all of my family waiting to congratulate us.
From the bride…
I knew early on what I wanted my wedding to look like. Both of my sisters had very traditional weddings and I knew mine would be slightly off-beat and truly reflect the characters of my fiance and I. I liked the idea of a shabby-chic/rustic theme. I had approximately a year to plan and I started immediately. I wanted an outdoor wedding and reception and I wanted it to be beautiful and rustic. Orcutt Ranch was exactly that. I wanted long rectangle tables at the reception as opposed to the traditional round tables. I liked the idea of the Italian family-style seating. I wanted the centerpieces to be simple and delicate. I used large mason jars as the vases and I adhered lace to a few of the jars. We tied burlap and twine around small votive candle holders. I used small mason jars for the drinking glasses and mismatched china for the dinner plates (my favorite idea). My fiance and I wanted some good comfort food that everyone would enjoy, so we had AMAZING tacos at our reception. We had several fruit waters which were also so amazing. We hired the best dessert vendor in So. Cal. who knocked it out of the park. Everyone said the dessert room was a highlight.
Loving You Is Easy…
Cassie loves “his ability to make me laugh as hard as I can no matter what is going on in my life at the time.”
Mikey loves “her genuine kindness and free-spirit.”
