It was through a reflection made by Salé’s sister-in-law from which her love story with Dan soon began. “I would like to see you with my friend Dan,” she said, having a feeling about the relationship potential between them. That potential soon also became apparent to both Salé and Dan, as the more time they spent together, the more they realized how much in common they shared – like a love for travel. Their commonalities continued to bring them closer together, getting along so well that every moment felt unique. The two began to feel like one, and as they did the feelings of emptiness when apart became intensified. Always wanting to remain together, Dan planned their perfect proposal.

Incorporating their love of travel, a trip to Jordan was planned. As Salé and Dan stood before the Dead Sea, watching the sun sink beyond the horizon, it was in this moment that he asked her to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. Though the proposal was completely unexpected, they both knew after the first few months of being together that they had found the one. Dan recalls how “the first time Salé told me she was in love with me, it opened my heart. This step unlocked my feelings and with it went my fear to fall in love. She makes me a better person each day.” For Salé, Dan was “so kind and sweet me. I knew this man had good intentions and would never hurt me or make me feel unhappy.”
Salé and Dan’s regal wedding in Paris was perfectly set for a Princess to marry her Prince. Salé was gorgeous in an Elcira dress from the Pronovias collection, crafted entirely in lace over tulle with thread appliques. Dan was dashing in a Sherwani long vest, a popular attire of India, bearing resemblance to the British frock coat.
Best Memories: Everything…really, everything was perfect. A particular moment was during our respective speeches, so full of emotions.
Advice for Engaged Couples: Delegate some tasks. Trust your entourage. Avoid wasting time with people not committed in your engagement. Give up on little things that have a negative impact in your organization and people won’t even see. Support each other, communicate a lot. Try to both participate in the organization so that you can be proud of the both of you at the end of the big day (and its lasting beautiful memories). Always focus on the most important thing of the big day – spending great moments with your family and friends.
