Samuelle and Horace have known each other for the past 13 plus years through their siblings; Marjorie Simms (brides church sister) and Leighton Simms (grooms brother) who married each other in 2003. One summer night in 2010, Horace and Samuelle bumped into each other at the South Street Seaport in NYC. That night Horace playfully fed Samuelle a tasty piece of chocolate cake which was her favorite of course. Thus, began a connection different than they had before and they slowly began to build a relationship. On May 26, 2016, Horace asked Samuelle for her hand in marriage at her favorite dessert spot, The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn.”
