Sophisticated Engagement Session in Niagara Falls

High school sweethearts Ebony and Sheldon celebrated their engagement with a scenic and sophisticated engagement session in Niagara Falls.

The couple’s teenage love affair started during a chance meeting in-between classes. 11 years later, they are still “loving each other more and more every day,” and happily preparing to become husband and wife.

Tell us how you met

We are high school sweethearts! We never would have thought that we would be here 11 years later, loving each other more and more every day. The first time we met we were both in the hallway between classes, as Sheldon came out of his class, he noticed Ebony from a couple of weeks earlier and took this opportunity to shoot his shot. He ran down the hall, flipped out his Blackberry, and asked if she would like to put her number in his phone. A few texts were exchanged, and the rest is history.

The Proposal

The proposal took place while we are on vacation in Paris, France. It was the second day of our vacation and Sheldon insisted on planning the day activities. We woke up very early to get a glimpse of the Eiffel tower during the sunrise. As we were walking around Sheldon got down on one knee and popped the question…Ebony said YES – of course. A photographer hiding in bushes caught the whole moment on camera.

Describe your engagement session.

The goal of our engagement session was to provide guests with a sneak-peak into our wedding day. The theme aligns with our wedding vibes being elegant, fresh, and romantic. We immersed ourselves in the natural surroundings of Niagara-on-the-lake, a town that is very special to both of us.

What did you do on your first date?

Our first date was to the movies. It was pretty uneventful asides, Ebony’s whole family including, her mom, dad, and sisters all joining unexpectedly.

What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?

We are big foodies, so our favorite thing to do as a couple is exploring different restaurants in our local area and picnic near any body of water we can find.

How has wedding planning been so far?

COVID-19 has posed the most significant challenge to our wedding planning. Despite the uncertainty, we try our best to focus on what we can control and leave the rest up to God.
