Certified Event Planner, Interior Designer, Realtor, and soon-to-be Pilot, Shonda Stone, is the ultimate boss lady and we are thrilled to present her company’s fabulous rebranding celebration!
For the last 16 years, multi-faceted entrepreneur, LaShonda Stone, has been operating under Mansion House of Designs creating weddings, lux events, and designing interior spaces for clients around the country. After acquiring her real estate license, she decided it was time for a change. She says, “I wanted to make life simpler for myself as a professional and [for my] clients. I wanted a household name and every service I provided would umbrella underneath that one name on one website.”
So “SHONDA STONE” was born! Encompassing all of her passions, her company’s rebrand called for a celebration of epic proportions. All LaShonda had to do was conceptualize the perfect theme. She shares, “Since I was a child I have always [been] intrigued with planes and wanted to obtain my pilot license when I got older. The concept of the rebrand celebration stemmed from me having my pilot license…which I am currently in pilot school to obtain.”
The resulting concept was incredibly unique. For an entire weekend, LaShonda rented out Pandora’s Manor in High Point, North Carolina, to simulate a real-life travel experience. She “flew” all of her industry friends, loved ones, as well as past and current clients on a private plane (which she called “STONEᴀɪʀ” ) to a remote, exclusive private island called “STONE ISLAND.” From there a curated celebration filled with entertainment, unlimited food and drinks, and dancing awaited them!

Welcome to STONE ISLAND…
As guests arrived, they were greeted as if they were checking into the airport by the valet attendants who welcomed each guests to “STONEᴀɪʀ” airport and received their 1st class boarding passes. Guests were then directed to the front location of the property (STONEᴀɪʀ VIP Skyline LOUNGE) where cocktail hour was held as their cars were parked by the valet attendants.
The design set was setup like they were at an actual airport with airplanes. They were able to take pictures, network, and have little hors d’oeuvres. As the cocktail hour was ending an announcement was made for boarding and guests were instructed to have their boarding passes out. Then guests transitioned to the back of the property (in flight traveling).
Once guests walked through the massive back doors, they were surprised by the honoree (Shonda Stone), a stilts entertainer, and a photographer to greet and captured all the guest’s reactions as they were welcomed to “STONE ISLAND“.
At this point, guests still had no idea what the actual purpose of the event was. However, once everyone was informed why they were there, saw the design, and heard the sound of Caribbean steel drums playing, they began to register why they were invited to such an amazing event!

The night was full of networking, fun, laughter, food, drinks, a live wedding painter, tribal face paintings, fire performances, dancing, and more! Guests also received a ton of party favors and complimentary travel certificates.

Later in the night, the honoree made a special announcement. LaShonda first humbly thanked all her guests for coming to celebrate and network and finally was able to announce that she was starting pilot school to obtain her pilot licenses and that this sparked the creative idea and concept for her rebrand. She informed her guests to follow and join her as she embarks on this new journey to obtain her pilot license, beginning with her rebrand: SHONDA STONE. Everyone was ecstatic about her new venture!
Shonda’s vision and dreams to become a household name and providing an elite flight concierge service to her clients has set the bar extremely high for her new business brand. The new journey has begun for SHONDA STONE, servicing weddings and events, interior design, real estate, and soon to be pilot services.
