Ruth and Brandon initially crossed paths at a restaurant in Philadelphia where her sister was singing in a band Brandon was drumming for. Following the performance, Ruth was introduced to Brandon and the band. It wouldn’t be until a few years later, at the same location, that their love story would truly begin to take shape, but the seeds of fate were planted that day. When that first date inevitably came, it was a “magical night” filled with “great conversation” and leaving them “even more connected than before…”

How did you meet? We met at a restaurant in Philadelphia called Warmdaddys. Brandon was the drummer for an artist Ruth’s sister sang background for. Ruth was introduced to Brandon and the rest of the band members by her sister. After some years later they met again at the Warmdaddys restaurant, and the rest is history…
Tell us about the proposal. It was December 22nd, a couple days before Ruth’s birthday. Brandon was supposed to be taking Ruth out to dinner but surprised her with a photo shoot. The photo shoot was supposed to be for Ruth to brand herself as a hairstylist. Little did she know that that would be the day Brandon proposed. Brandon snuck into one of the photos while Ruth’s back was turned. When she turned around, there he was with a bouquet of roses and a ring tucked away in a rose shaped ring box.
What did you do for your first date? Our first official date was at Cafe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill, NJ. Ruth was so nervous that she couldn’t eat a bite of her food! It ended up being a magical night. Great conversations and even more connected than before. The rest is history!
What are your favorite things to do as a couple? We love eating together! We probably have gone out to eat more than anything while dating. We love food and time together. Mostly we love laughing together, as cheesy as it may sound. There isn’t a time together where we aren’t laughing at something silly.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been a very interesting experience. We have learned so much about each other. It is the start of our journey as one! We have made such major decisions together and it has taught us so much about each other. It has its ups and downs but overall it has been great! We try not to get overwhelmed by all the planning and make sure to take a breath to remind ourselves why we are doing this and the love we have for each other. Planning a wedding together has given us a lot of insight on what our marriage may look like.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on your wedding day. We are looking to have an amazing time celebrating our union with our closest friends and family. Planning can take a lot out of you so we are excited to reap the benefits of our hard work in planning. We are looking forward to our life together!
