Your wedding day passes by so quickly, you may realize you did not get all of the bridal portraits you wanted. That is why we are huge fans of bridal sessions!
Bridal portrait sessions are a way for you to pamper yourself, and capture gorgeous photos of yourself in your wedding dress in a calm and relaxed environment. These sessions can happen before or after your wedding.
Beautiful bride-to-be Dominique choose to do a bridal session on the grounds of her wedding venue. She shares, “I actually didn’t know that doing a bridal shoot was a thing until I read about it from other brides. I didn’t think I wanted to do a shoot. However, I am so glad I did. I loved the concept of having such an intimate by myself with my wedding team at our venue. The moment was so peaceful and perfect. The venue was also just as beautiful.”
Are you convinced to consider a bridal session now? We think you will be once you see all of Dominique’s gorgeous photos below.
How did you meet?
We were introduced to each other through our good friend and sister Calista Tucker while we were in college. Andre attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC while I attended Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. We instantly connected and realized we shared so much in common from our various conversations about Black love, spirituality, education, community, and our love of music and Italian culture! At that time of introduction, I was not ready for a relationship. We decided to stay friends and build our friendship before moving into a serious relationship.
Proposal story
Andre proposed to me at a popular Italian restaurant in Spartanburg (where we often frequented) with our close friends present. Andre pretended that he left his wallet in the car and while I was waiting, his best friend Chris, came into the restaurant singing “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar. I was gifted with red roses (my favorite flowers) as Andre proposed to me. I was so shocked by the proposal!
What made you decide to do a bridal shoot?
I actually didn’t know that doing a bridal shoot was a thing until I read about it from other brides. I didn’t think I wanted to do a shoot. However, I am so glad I did. I loved the concept of having such an intimate by myself with my wedding team at our venue. The moment was so peaceful and perfect. The venue was also just as beautiful.
What was the inspiration for your bridal shoot? Theme or special elements?
My bridal shoot was taken at our wedding and reception venue. The venue was located in a garden. The shoot captured our overall themes for our wedding, which included intimacy, natural elements, natural beauty, enchanting, spiritual, and simplicity.
