How we met…
While enjoying a night out at Fish Fry with my guys, I ran into Teaka while she was on vacation in Nassau, Bahamas.
Our proposal story…
It wasn’t exactly me getting on one knee to propose. We made a mutual agreement that we wanted to be committed to one another. One evening, I took her mother and her out for dinner and asked her mother’s blessing to marry.
Finding the one…
After some time of long-distance dating, it was the first time spending a scheduled weekend away together. Having spent this quality and intimate time, that’s when I realized she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
The first date…
Our first date was to see the Black Panther movie.
Our favorite things to do as a couple…
Having met on an island, we quickly learned that we enjoy spending time together on the beach no matter where we are.
Wedding planning so far…
Wedding planning has been very smooth. I love planning events and parties, so when we decided on having a destination wedding, I knew that it might come with some barriers, but I was up for the challenge. We’ve made a few trips to our wedding venue since planning, and everything is coming together so nicely. I’ve also created a few DIY pieces for our wedding décor, and I love them!
What we’re looking forward to most on our wedding day…
We are looking forward to making this the wedding of the year and being able to make memories with family and friends.
