If your wedding was postponed due to COVID-19, why not do something special to commemorate your original wedding date! That’s exactly Ruchi and Sudhesh did.
They were originally supposed to get married on August 15, 2020, but due to COVID-19, they had to reschedule. They still wanted to do something fun on their original wedding date, so they had a gorgeous pre-wedding photo session.
Bride-to-be Ruchi shares, “It was nearly 100 degrees that day and we honestly saw it as a blessing that our guests didn’t have to endure it as it would have been our original wedding day. The day was long but we had so much fun with each other and getting to know our photographer, who will also be shooting our wedding.”
The couple had three fabulous outfit changes throughout the shoot! See all of the details below.

Tell us your proposal story.
We love watching The Bachelor, so he set up a “final rose ceremony” at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. He even had his brother play the role of Chris Harrison and my friends be the other contestants he “eliminated”. He then gave me the final rose before getting down on one knee. The scene was complete with a violin player, roses, and candles everywhere
Describe your engagement session.
It was very romantic! Little bit of an Alice in Wonderland theme.I wanted to wear red, which is the color that Indian brides traditionally wear. We wore our masks between every photo and our photographer had even brought a pop-up changing tent for me to use between outfits! I also love Alice in Wonderland, so my red dress was inspired by the Red Queen and my blue romper was more of an Alice vibe. The denim jacket I wore at the beach was a gift from all my bridesmaids and has “Mrs. Sabat” engraved on the back.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Playing with our cat, Kim Klawdashian.
How has wedding planning been so far?
Very stressful due to our postponement, but luckily our families have been incredible.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.
The dancing!
