Damian & Aisha’s timelessly elegant engagement session at the Swan House in Atlanta has stunning architectural backdrops, stylish attire, and steamy glances.
The newly engaged couple first met in 2014 while attending Morgan State University. As they crossed the infamous Welcome Bridge of their Alma Mater, Aisha caught Damian’s eye. At that moment, Damian knew Aisha was special and would be his one day; however, in spite of his confident prediction, his nerves got the best of him and the moment passed. Fortunately, fate has a way of working things out and the pair crossed paths again. This time, Aisha found the courage to introduce herself.
Depending on who is telling the story, Damian insists it was all part of his plan! Nevertheless, love flourished between them and after a few dates, they were inseparable. Aisha grew more in love with Damian as she witnessed his connection blossoming with her son, Omari. Damian showered them both with love and eventually, it only made sense to pop the question. So, in December 2020, Damian finally fulfilled his goal and asked Aisha to be his wife. Of course, she said yes!

How they met…
Damian and I met in 2014, our junior year while attending our Alma Mater, Morgan State University.
Their first date…
Our first official date was to the movies, then out for drinks and conversation.
Their proposal story…
While on a date that I believed to be a celebration for Damian’s recent job promotion, Damian took the opportunity to propose! Completely caught off guard, after talking about sweet everythings and walking to our destination, Damian got down on one knee and asked to spend a lifetime with me. He had always listened to the hints I left for him and executed the magical night perfectly! It was perfect, just the two of us, one talented photographer and great food!
When they knew they found “the one”…
When I realized that I truly feel like the best version of myself with Damian. I can be silly, serious, emotional, anxious, excited and all above. He accepts every part of me. Damian isn’t just my soon to be husband, but my greatest and best friend. I miss him when he’s gone, and love every moment spent with him. I love seeing him as a father. The sacrifice, love, compassion and commitment he shows our family is everlasting. Damian literally feels like home. That’s how I know.
The engagement session…
For our engagement shoot, it was extremely important to us to have something that was timeless and elegant. We want our grandchildren to be able to look at our photos and say “Geez, our grandparents look amazing!”
Favorite thing to do as a couple…
Our best times are spent traveling, trying new restaurants and exploring our semi-new city, Atlanta.
Wedding planning so far…
Planning a destination wedding has been more challenging than initially anticipated, still, we are making great progress and excited for the big day!
What they’re looking forward to most…
Our first look as I walk down the aisle, for sure!
