College sweethearts Tamesha and Richard met while attending the University of Louisville where their love would take root, blossoming into the well of joy it continues to be everyday. It would be love at first sight for Richard when first laying eyes on Tamesha in a hotel lobby. Their beautiful wedding took place at the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta Georgia, where Richard’s father would join them as husband and wife – all wonderfully captured in this genuine and moving cinematic feature by MunaLuchi Coterie member Thomas Vision Films.

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Richard and I met in college at the University of Louisville. He is a native of Atlanta, GA, but was attending the University of Louisville on a football scholarship. The proposal was Sat., May 7, 2016, right before we were heading out to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. He proposed in our home, with one of our friends present, who we were attending the Kentucky Derby with.
Wedding Style: Glamorous/Old Hollywood
What was wedding shopping like for you? I began my wedding shopping locally in Louisville and Lexington, KY, but I found the dress I wanted on The Knot and traveled to Atlanta to try on the dress at Bridals by Lori. It was the last dress I tried on that day and I purchased it on the same day. My wedding dress is fit and flare style dress that is ivory and gold with a horsehair skirt. Since the train is not elaborate, I opted for a cathedral style veil that was made to match the dress.
What is your best memory from your wedding? Our best memory from our wedding was the bridesmaid dance. I was very nervous, but it turned out to be really fun and my husband seemed to enjoy it. My bridesmaids and I practiced several times prior to the wedding and it allowed us to see each other more also, as we normally are so busy with our lives that we fail to get together often.
What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples? Get a planner!! It keeps stress low. Have the wedding that you want. You won’t regret it!
