Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Terrence and I met on Sept 21, 2012 at a Jackson State University tailgate. We exchanged numbers and kept in touch for about three to four months and made it official in Jan 2013 – and have been inseparable ever since.
For the proposal, Terrence asked me to meet him at the candy shop to get me a candy apple and to my surprise when I ordered mine the owner had put the box inside the plastic with mine. Our kids were there to witness and when I opened the box it was an engagement ring inside. He got on one knee and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him and marry him. I hugged him and said yes!
Describe your engagement session. Our engagement session was in the afternoon. We didnt really have a theme but we incorporated our wedding colors; navy and champagne. We took photos outdoors and in studio and we had a lot of fun thinking about our 1st date, our good times, and keeping everything glamorous and classy! The engagement session was at Elite Images Studios, Pearl, MS.
What did you do on your first date? On our 1st date we went out to eat and then we went to a night club afterwards.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Our favorite thing to do as a couple is to chill at home with the kids, watch television, and relax with each other on the weekends.
How has wedding planning been so far? So far the wedding planning has been a breeze. We agreed to a location and size and picking the food and colors was simple because we both had an idea of what we wanted for that day.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. We are looking forward to seeing our family and friends celebrate our love and us finally becoming husband and wife – it’s been a long time coming.
