Actress, singer and model Tatyana Ali, 37, also best known for her role as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is officially married. This past Sunday afternoon Tatyana and her beau Dr. Vaughn Rasberry, an assistant professor at Stanford University, said “I Do” at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.
The beautiful couple met on the dating website eHarmony in 2014 and have been inseparable ever since. “It was my first time dating online. We wrote letters for months before we decided to skype. And then, of course, met” the actress told ET. After dating for almost two years Tatyana and Vaughn got engaged earlier this year on January 2 during a romantic Yosemite, California hike in a beautiful redwood park. “He proposed in the most picturesque clearing”, she told US Weekly. “Just the tow of us. It was so thoughtful and perfect. We’re best friends.”
Tatyana and Vaughn had an intimate Caribbean inspired wedding ceremony and reception with the help of their good friend and wedding planner, Michael Russo. “The wedding décor was inspired by Tatyana’s Caribbean family history,” Russo tells ET. “Lots of bright yellow and blue flowers with touches of lush tropical greens.” Their wedding guest, just a little over a hundred people, only consisted of family and close friends, which inspired an impromptu Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion – as Barbara Avery, widow of James Avery; Karyn Parsons; Joseph Marcell; Alfonso Roberio and wife Angela Unkrich were all in attendance.
The gorgeous mother-to-be glowed as she walked down the isle in a custom form-fitting off-white Amsale gown, showing off her growing baby bump, for the special day. Vaughn also looked dashing as he wore a custom grey three piece bespoke tuxedo designed by Octavius Terry-Sims.
