Undeterred by Covid, a couple celebrates their love in an elegant, private wedding experience in Atlanta, Georgia.
Angela and Darius Walker’s original wedding plans for September 2020 were pushed back twice because of Covid. After their second July 2021 date became impossible, they decided to have a small private ceremony at home instead. However, the pair truly longed for some semblance of their dream wedding. But was that even possible?
Their wedding planner, Micheal from All About Posh, thought so. Micheal shares, “We found the solution: creating a styled shoot to create the details they wanted and give them all the wedding photos they originally envisioned, complete with luscious florals and a smoke machine for a romantic first dance!”
Working with an esteemed group of wedding vendors including photographer, Janet Howard Studio, Micheal’s team made their pre-Covid wedding dreams a reality!
Our wedding planner Micheal from All About Posh Events was very supportive throughout this time… she planned an intimate wedding for us including a photo shoot. I was able to wear my wedding gown and my husband wore his tux that we didn’t get a chance to wear in our home! It was absolutely wonderful!!! We were able to share these intimate moments together and were able to get a glimpse of what it would have been like at a traditional wedding with all of our family and friends!!”

How they met…
We actually met over Instagram. We had a few mutual online friends and eventually began following each other. There were a few weeks of back and forth ‘picture liking’ and at last Darius reached out to me via DM. The rest is history..
The proposal…
Darius did a great job with the proposal!!! He included my family and friends from the start. He really listened and paid attention to my style when picking out my ring..it’s absolutely perfect!
When it was finally time to propose, he decided to do it while we were visiting my family in DC. I was totally oblivious. We decided to spend a family day at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Eventually we ended up in front of the huge ferris wheel and everyone started taking pictures and selfies. In all the confusion I didn’t notice him behind me on one knee. When I finally turned around I was in total shock. There was a huge crowd of people so everyone cheered us on. I definitely happy cried and gave a resounding Yes! It was one of the best days of my life.
Their first look…
Wedding style & attire…
My dress was a beautiful form fitting gown with elaborate pearl beading. My husband wore a custom navy tuxedo with navy tie/pocket square complimented by a deep violet shirt that accented our floral arrangements perfectly.
The bouquet…
Wedding shopping experience…
Wedding dress shopping is was definitely an experience. After a few visits to big stores and smaller boutiques and was having trouble finding the perfect dress for me. Styles that I thought would look great did not fit me at all. However, I was assured by other women in my life that when I found the dress I would be overcome with emotion and know it without a shadow of a doubt. I eventually revisited a local boutique and found the dress that was totally my style and that fit me perfectly. I was indeed overcome with emotion and I knew I had found the One!!
Favorite wedding day memory…
Our best memory from our wedding was sharing this day with our children. We are a blended family and it was important for us to share this beautiful day with them.

Advice for other engaged couples…
It is wonderful to have a beautiful wedding day, but make sure you put as much energy, if not more, into having a harmonious, loving relationship with your spouse.
