Planner Heather Benge wowed us with this enchanting and romantic Gilded Age-inspired wedding-styled shoot that had us stepping into a fairy tale garden wedding with luxurious floral blooms designed by Blomst Floral Design.
Joyful opulence was delicately interwoven into every aspect of the day. From the two cakes, the gown, and the beautiful stationery, we are taken back to another moment in time with the centerpiece of the styled shoot being the Cairnwood Estate built in the Beaux Arts style.
With Katie and Mitchell behind the lens turning life into art, this romantic-styled shoot was everything we could have hoped for!

Watercolor details were introduced in the stationary to extend the soft and light color palette while staying true to the time period, as do the vintage stamps and beautiful wax seals.”

This shoot was inspired by its stately backdrop, Cairnwood Estates, which stands as a monument to the wealth and affluence of the late 1800s. Gold leaf china, fine calligraphy, opulent rugs, tapered candlesticks, intricate monograms, a scrolled seating assignment wall, velvet ribbon detail, and gleaming golden tableware come together to create a sense of vintage opulence.”

The floral staircase swags draw guests into the magic of the day, and pale pink roses abound, such that would have been grown in the original Cairnwood gardens.”

Everything is better in black and white…
Winding vines flow through the bodice of the bride’s wedding dress and taper into the skirt, mirroring the trailing vines found on the staircase, fireplace mantle, cake, invitations, table assignment wall, and shoes. The gently flowing skirt and train add to the air of romance and elegance.”

Dining in style…
The two wedding cakes incorporate natural elements like the vines, flowers, and butterflies that would have flitted around this very estate one hundred and fifty years ago. The cakes are displayed before an ornate vintage mirror to draw together the intertwining themes of whimsey, history, and luxury.”

The colors we selected are light and warm to create a unique twist to the Gilded Age theme, which is more often interpreted through deep, rich, and dark colors. This palette was selected to convey an added element of joy, delight, and whimsey in the midst of abundance.”
