Shamar and Adler’s modern engagement session in Brickell included stunning views of the Miami skyline with stylish celebrity couple vibes to celebrate their upcoming wedding day.
The future bride and groom had their first date during the pandemic where they cozied up together with Chipotle and the Clark Sisters movie. We’re so glad that they both brought the sunshine into each other’s lives!
“After years of dating, I knew she was the one, and it was time to take the next step,” Adler recalled. “I was definitely nervous, but I made it my mission to keep the proposal as secretive and memorable as possible. She had no idea—it worked perfectly, especially since I had even thrown her off in previous conversations earlier in the year to keep her from suspecting anything.”
With the perfect surprise proposal up his sleeve, Adler popped the question at the Giselle Miami Rooftop Restaurant. Right after their dinner, Shamar was whisked away to see the Rosa Sky Miami since she adores a good city skyline and where the newly engaged couple gathered with family and friends to celebrate.
“We are so grateful to everyone who was there and helped make this moment so incredibly special for Shamar,” Adler shared.

Describe your engagement session. Did you have a theme?
Our modern engagement session was all about capturing the essence of a celebrity couple—think stars making their way to the runway or stepping out from a lavish dinner. That’s why we chose a nighttime shoot in Brickell, dressed formally in all black, to create that upscale, high-fashion feel. The city lights and sleek atmosphere made for the perfect backdrop to bring that vision to life.
For the day shoot, we wanted something more elegant to highlight the stunning Brickell skyline—one of Shamar’s favorite views. It was the perfect balance between sophistication and romance, capturing the love and energy that defines us as a couple.
What did you do on your first date?
Our first date was during the pandemic, so we had to get creative while social distancing. We ordered Chipotle, took it back to Shamar’s apartment, and had a cozy night in watching The Clark Sisters movie.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love going to Doral and eating at Soya Sushi—it’s our go-to spot for good food and great conversation.
How has wedding planning been so far?
Wedding planning has been an exciting journey filled with a lot of decisions, creativity, and of course, some challenges along the way. From securing the perfect venue in Miami to finalizing details that truly reflect our style, every step has brought us closer to our dream day. We’ve been intentional about making this experience enjoyable—not just for us, but for our family and friends who will be celebrating with us.
One of the most exciting parts has been crafting the little moments, from designing our wedding website to sending out invitations (even to our favorite brands—because why not? Of course, balancing everything with our busy schedules has been a challenge, but seeing it all come together makes it worth it. At the end of the day, we just can’t wait to celebrate our love with the people who mean the most to us!

What we’re looking forward to most on our wedding day is seeing all our hard work, vision, intentionality, and love come to life and be celebrated. Every detail has been carefully planned to reflect who we are as a couple, and it’s going to be so special to experience it all surrounded by the people we love. From walking down the aisle to the moment we say ‘I do,’ to dancing the night away, we can’t wait to soak in every single moment. More than anything, we’re excited to celebrate the love that brought us here and the beautiful journey ahead.
