Quaashie Wright-Massay and Tamara Morgan like to keep things simple. Ever since they started dating, they’ve enjoyed spending Sunday mornings talking and watching the sun rise.
The couple has known each other since they were children, and as fate would have it, they decided to start dating as adults. Things just seemed to flow for the Toronto couple, and their morning chats kept them connected throughout their relationship. One Sunday morning, Quaashie started off the conversation by expressing where he wanted his life to go. He told Tamara that their love has changed his life and it would only makes sense for her to become his wife. She gleefully accepted and a new chapter of their journey is in the works.
Now as the loving couple prepares for their wedding at The Eglinton Grand in Toronto, they decided to team up with Mario Caputa of Avangard Photography for an engagement shoot that captured their love and reflected their simplistic approach to life. Take a look at their beautiful engagement session, which mixes city landscapes with a touch of nature to compliment.

What Their First Date was Like
Que and I have been in and out of each others lives from the age is of 3. We reconnected in our early twenties as friends and remained really close for years before we started dating, so to be honest we really didn’t have a first date because we already spent so much time together going to dinner, the movies and watching the stars that everything transitioned naturally.
Their Favorite Thing to Do as a Couple
Waking up on a Sunday morning at the crack of dawn to re-connect.
The Engagement Session
We really didn’t have a theme. We wanted our backdrop to represent the beauty of an urban setting, while maintaining the natural industrial factors of beautiful parts of Toronto. When brainstorming on the style of our engagement session we wanted to ensure that it truly represented us as individuals and as a couple. Our photographer Mario Caputa truly knows how to capture couples in the moment.
How Wedding Planning has Been
Wedding planning is an experience. It is important to always remember why you are getting married in the first place and never loose sight of each other.
