Tiffany and Anthony met four years ago in Cleveland, Ohio. Tiffany had recently relocated to Cleveland from Baltimore to join a bank training program, while Anthony had recently left the banking realm for a new career opportunity. However, his roommate, who was in the same training program as Tiffany, decided to play matchmaker and introduced the two during a study session. Needless to say – it was love at first sight!
After a few years of relationship bliss, Anthony was ready to make Tiffany his bride. And when it came to the proposal – he got creative! “While on a family vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC, Anthony suggested that both of our families play a game of Pictionary. The game was very competitive, and we were in the lead” shares Tiffany. When it became Tiffany’s turn to draw, she drew the question “Will you marry me?” – which of course, Anthony guessed right away. “We had won the game! When I was returning to my seat, I turned around and he was down on one knee. I was completely caught off guard. Little did I know, both his family and my family were in on the entire game and proposal!” says Tiffany. So adorable!

What is your best memory from your wedding?
Tiffany: My best memory is the first glance. We first saw each other in the hotel before going to the wedding venue. Our photographer staged it perfectly. I walked through a beautiful garden in the atrium, across a bridge and through trees. At the end of the pathway, Anthony stood with his back to me. I tapped him on his shoulder and he turned around. I loved how we embraced and appreciated each other privately, before the wedding began.
Anthony: My best memory is watching Tiffany walk down the aisle. Even after seeing her during the first glance, nothing could prepare me for her ceremony entrance. I’d never seen anyone or anything as beautiful in my entire life.
What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples?
Our advice is for the couple to work as a partnership during the wedding planning. Planning for the wedding can be a great time to figure out each other’s strengths and set the stage for how to approach challenges in the future. Lean on each other for help and make the event truly (both) of yours.
