For you I’d give a lifetime of stability
Anything you want of me
Nothing is impossible
For you there are no words or ways to show my love
Or all the thoughts I’m thinking of
Cause this life is no good alone
Since we’ve become one
I’ve made a change
Everything I do now makes sense
All roads end
All I do is for you.
We can feel the love all the way from the Chi-Town! Kenny Lattimore’s “For You” is one of those classic songs that are unforgettable and timeless. The gorgeous ballad can still be heard in the halls of wedding receptions across the nation. Couples can be found sharing their first passionate slow dance. The words are heartfelt and sincere and expresses the sentiments of any man that is ready to get married. Nothing is more romantic when a man serenades his woman. Sometimes words are just not enough. And music has that power to reach and touch any soul. It has this way of expressing those feelings that cannot be easily described.
February 28th will always be that special day for Jennifer and Kenneth. It was the day they met and also the day they would get engaged two years later. Kenneth surprised Jennifer with a sweet serenade on piano as friends and family watched. It was the perfect way to announce to the world the lifetime of love and stability for the lady of his life.

Tell us about how you met and all about the proposal!
“We met on February 28, 2013 at the Black Cultural Society’s Akainyah Art Gallery African Inspired Art Networking Event through a mutual friend. Both of us almost missed attending the event. I was an intern physician working on inpatient wards and I was going to be stuck at work given a difficult, really sick patient but the cross-cover intern offered to take care of the patient. Ken arrived at the event and realized he did not have cash to enter the event. He had to leave to find an ATM and only decided to return because he promised a group of friends he would attend.”
Dr. Jennifer J. Parker and Mr. Kenneth R. Copeland were engaged on February 28, 2015 after Kenneth planned a surprise scavenger hunt that revisited several places that were meaningful to them as a couple. The scavenger hunt ended at a private room in The Boarding House Chicago where Kenneth serenaded Jennifer on the piano in front of family and close friends. These photographs were taken in the picturesque “Cellar” space at The Boarding House Chicago in the historic River North neighborhood where they celebrated their engagement!
