Nicole Campbell of CoCoFete Events, along with a team of talented Black vendors, brought the Caribbean to an unconventional venue in Maryland with this vibrant tropical-styled shoot!
Perfect for engaged couples looking to bring a destination wedding vibe closer to home, this styled shoot showcases how to transform any space into a Caribbean paradise.
I love combining the tropics and a mix of vibrant beautiful colors into every event I touch. So, I brought the Caribbean to the states!

Nicole Campbell assembled a team of primarily Black women vendors to showcase their business and craft in the wedding industry.
Through lush florals, tropical foliage, elegant touches of gold, and bold colors, the creative team meticulously curated each design aspect to transport the couple to their own tropical island getaway.
Vibrant colors and tropical motifs were tied into every aspect of the decor, from the chairs to the florals, cake, and wedding favors, no details were left untouched.

- Location: Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, Maryland
- Theme: Vibrant Tropical Floral Affair
I wanted to have a team of primarily all Black women owning their business and showcasing their craft. Creating a romantic, colorfully elegant yet simple Caribbean cultural styled wedding at a non-conventional venue…

To set the Caribbean tone to my styled shoot, I incorporated real tropical trees and plants to decorate the entire room. That is the best way to transform a blank room into a tropical space. I used the tall trees to create the entryway of the ceremony aisle by positioning them to curve in such a way that it looks like an arch.

I brought my Caribbean flair to Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, Maryland by capturing a magical and exotic experience away from the islands.

The favors were deliciously cute! What better way to say “you’re in the tropics” then to gift your guests with their own individually wrapped tasty piece of rum caramel cake, a glass of rum punch, and some herbal tea.

One of my favorite pieces from the style shoot was the lounge furniture and décor items. Having gold as my accent color pushed my design to another level of elegance. I absolutely loved how the colors complimented each other and gave that pop and wow factor!

A favorite piece from this style shoot was how the bride and groom complimented each other so eloquently for their second look. The groom’s blazer and the bride’s emerald dress for the reception was absolutely stunning and so fitting for my tropical paradise vision.
